Company ProfileA history of work and innovation in the name of health
The origin of Catarinense Pharma goes back to 1919, when the drugstore called Farmácia Minerva was established in Curitiba, Paraná. Right from the beginning, the company presented a great potential. In 1922, Farmácia Minerva moved to Joinville, Santa Catarina, and it was renamed to Farmácia Catarinense. During that period, it was possible to manufacture and sell medicines at the same premises, by the same company.
In 1945, following the determination of the Ministry of Health, these processes were segregated. After that, Farmácia Catarinense became Laboratório Catarinense, one of the pioneers in manufacturing medicines in the state of Santa Catarina.
70 years later, Catarinense Pharma is dedicated to the development and commercialization of OTC medicines, among others, all of them focused on promoting health and quality of life to the Brazilians.
Catarinense Pharma has a portfolio with more than 120 products, approved by the medical class and recognized by the consumers. Complementing the range there are analgesics, antipyretic, expectorants, digestives and a complete line of nutritional supplements.
Working for the quality of their consumers’ life in Brasil and abroad, Catarinense Pharma works based on a rigorous quality control of their processes. This quality control and the constant researches, lead Catarinense Pharma to expand their range of products, preserving issues such as quality, safety and efficacy of their processes and products.
